Hi,

I would like to start making an oil tank for the Starduster too, in the near future.
The engine is Continental W-670 radial.

Have you used ready- made tanks or made them yourself?
I was thinking of making it out of 6061 T4 aluminium and .040 or .050 strength by TIG welding.

Paul Schafer kindly sent to me some information, but I Can' t find it anywhere anymore and Paul unfortunately left us some time ago.

I would be grateful for all information of what kind of oil tanks you have build and used in your aircraft.
Oil volumes, mounting on the frame/engine stand, placement of oil pipes, filler cap...etc. Drawings....Pictures.

This would be a great help to me.

Best wishes.
