    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Hi,

I have a 76 Bolt with 800+ hrs on it, that I purchased this summer. We had fun flying her all summer with normal maintenance. Since I didn't build it, I am about to give it a real inspection this winter. I know that I have to replace some aileron bearings, have all ready rebushed the tail hinges, and so on. With so much time on the airframe, I think that I will simply fix that which needs fixing, and if it looks good for another long time (recover time)- leave it as is, as opposed to incorporating suggested improvements that has put forward over the years. I think that if it came this far, it should be fine. - Eyes always wide open of course for future problems.

What would the collective wisdom of the group suggest?

Thanks,
larry
