    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Never been, going next week.
Start: 97FL, 18gal tank only, stopping for fuel South GA, North Ga, then over the mountains to KDZJ for the first overnighter. Stay in Blairsvile Ga for two days then off to South Chicago with fuel stops NW KY, Indy area and overnight in the Boing Facilities (if they will have me). Nephew works for Boeing, never been to CHI Town. Final leg from Chicago to Oshkosh, probably follow the Lake up then cut across.

Any suggestions on taildragger friendly airports along this route? May need to hanger up if the weather is bad. Got a 496 in the dash with XM WX so I should have no problems other than range.

She is the Original S1S built in Homestead FL. 1967 by Curtis Pitts and H. Andrews. If you were at SNF this year you may have seen it. She now has a 200+HP Lyco IO360 A1A with 10:1 pistons and a helicopter case. She grew up in the North with owners including V. Jobst, M. Peck, B. Davis and M. Heuer.
