Hi guys! It's been a wile since I posted but I'm starting another airplane project and I beg your forgiveness but it's not a biplane. I'm scratch building a Ryan STA. This all metal low wing plane really works to my strengths in metal shaping but I'm a little confused about protection of the various aluminum parts once they are formed and heat treated.

I want to paint the parts with modern coatings but it must look like the zinc chromate green or yellow primer used during the war. But with that said I want a gloss finish. What are you guys using out there? A urethane paint?
