    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hi,

After many years of being a lurker on here I will be finally starting the Pitts restoration after being a hangar queen for 5 years. My goals with this are as follows:
1 - Complete the restoration as simply as possible without re-engineering everything (I'm an Engineer, that what I do) AND incorporate the learnings incorporated over the years to the original Pitts plane (eg: rear wing attach point SB, ect.)
2 - Obtain the skills necessary to take my A&P after completion of the project.
3 - Sell the complete project to move up to the next toy

I look forward to feedback from the group.
