Question guys. I just got the S-2C and got my seat cushions set up where my gentex helmet hadabout 2-3inches clearance from the canopy. I noticed taxing it was hard to see. When I came in to land I could not see the runway becauseI was way to low in the airplane. I went back to the hanger and got a 4 inch piece of foam to sit on and took the helmet off. I used a regular headset because the helmet wastouching the canopy. I could see good and landings were good. Last month I flew a S-2B with my helmet and everything with sight and clearance was fine. I didn't think there was any difference for seating and canopy between the B and c? Does anyone fly a C with a helmet? Kind of weird I thought. I really like the helmet but it is not worth banging up the canopy whenI go inverted because its to close. Any input would be great.
