Guys,
Since my last question concerning the Pitts verses DR 107, I have been following this forum closely in my Pitts search. My current ride is an RV4 I completed 25 years ago with over 2300 hrs. This airplane has a manual pitch trim and the RV without one would not be pleasant to fly in terms of fore and aft stick pressure. I recently have looked at a very nice Pitts S1S that does not have a pitch trim and wonder if anyone can comment on how that might affect the overall quality of the flight, mostly to be used for acro not far from home. Having flown the prototype Giles 200 back in the mid nineties on two demo flights, it did not have pitch trim either but the stick needed only to be repositioned for the new speed and no noticeable stick pressures were observed. This airplane would be perfect judging by what I have seen so far and is not a deal breaker for me but would like comments from some of the "old" guys.
Thanks a heap.
Hans
