Can anyone tell from this video why the pitts is not starting? I had a battery charger hooked up to it on boost when I attempted this start so I dont think its the battery ...
I also just replaced the solenoid next to the battery because the plane has always started hard since I have owned it. When I had the old solinoid on it in the past I could hook a battery charger boost up to it and it fired up immediatly.
I have no idea what is going on. Maybe the new solinoid is defective? I have also replaced the batteries once or twice but I was not trickle charging them over the winter.
The only time I could get it to fire right up was with the old solinoid with an 85 amp boost.
The factory said that it could be the wire going to the starter as well, but with 85 amps I cant imagine the wire has deteriorated that much worse in 2 years.
It is not letting me upload the video but it basicly just made a clicking noise when I turned the key and the prop did nothing.
