I saw an advertisement on barnstormers for a pair of Skybolt fuselages for $2500 and am contemplating buying them. One has flight controls, but there are no wings. I have an O-360 core and prop that came with my Cessna 170, but the STC for that is a bit steep. So I might hang that on one of the Skybolts, since they’re experimental anyways. Is something like that worth it, maybe build both to make enough on one to pay for both projects. Not sure, I’m new to not only airplane ownership, but homebuilts. Any estimates of how much I could plan on putting into them? I’d one to sandblast and powder coat both of them.

Where do I start on getting them flying?

I‘ve attached the link for the photos of the fuselages. I’d appreciate the thoughts on this.
