    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I recently had the prop control on a Christen Eagle fail during my run up. I replaced it with a new control from Aviat yesterday. With the new control on, I was only able to get 2500 RPM even at takeoff. The new control is slightly longer from the jam nut to the linkage on the prop governor than the previous control causing the linkage on the prop governor to appear to be more toward high RPM than before. Anyone with any suggestions as to why and how to correct would be welcomed. Thanks
