    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

Another question related to a Skybolt project I'm looking at. It has a Hartzell prop (constant speed). I have to get the model number and see if there are any ADs on the prop. He says it has 600 hours on it.
In order to save weight, and I've heard it's the best for a 540, I was thinking of going fixed pitch. With an C4B5 IO 540 engine, is it possible to hang a fixed pitch prop on there? If so, I'd like to get some ideas of what prop to hang.
thanks and best regards,
Brad
