    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

I had a Hendrickson 76X 52 scimiter shaped prop that I just broke (damn) on my Super Acro 1. I loved the look of the prop (8 coats of spar varnish) and it went up like a homesick angel, although the rpm would only get to 2500-2550 in any phase of flight. I know an Acro 1 with a Lyc. 150 hp only calls for 74" so maybe that's why the rpm was low. Anyway, I want to keep the varnished wood look that has the scimiter shape, but I called Sensenich and the 'Experimental' prop they recommend looks like a 2 by 4. Really ugly. Does anyone have any suggestions as to size, pitch, and prop maker that might get me going in the right direction. Thanks. Garry
