    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm building a two seat biplane of my own design, based on the idea of using a direct drive Chevrolet 350 engine.
Empty weight will be around 1300, gross 2000. Wing area about 200 sq.ft. Conventional construction; steel tube fuselage and tail, wood wings. The whole is somewhat reminiscent of a late 1920's design. It would also be suitable for a M14D radial - if I could afford one.

Fuselage and tail surfaces are done, some of the landing gear and all the wing ribs.uploads/20060914_053735_Front_fuse_top.JPG
