Hi guys,
I am still hanging around the forum.
My Skybolt is still with me, well I am in Jacksonville and the bolt is in Atlanta.
Anyway I have someone to fly the required hours off but he is reluctant to because he said the brakes are not as effective as he would like and that he is afraid he will not have enough ground control and taxi control.
Photos attached, I have installed the Grove master cylinder 676-1 (aircraft spruce part # 06-00907)
He suggests changing out the cylinders to Grove 673-10 (something like that) to gain more hydraulic effectiveness.
(note: these are old photos. The turnbuckle is no longer there)
My questions:
*Can someone take a photo of the plans, of the brake pedal and master cylinder placement?
I swear I constructed according to the plans! (and my plans are in Atlanta)
* Has anyone with the installation of the Grove 673-10 experienced less that optimal braking with their Skybolt?
* All suggestions are welcome, as I need to get this airplane with the hours flown off!
