    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I have a Hatz Classic. When I am flying - other aircraft tell me that my transmissions have so much background noise they can't understand me. I have a Terra com with Lightspeed headset and a mic muff with the small cut out over a foam muff. I hear myself on sidetone. I can broadcast on the ground and transmissions are clear. I have tried using a diffrent antenna with no noticable change. I am willing to change radios but unsure what might be better? A ll coments are welcome.
