Has anyone consider a rear mounted alternator in a Pitts or other acro mount? Such as the BC SD-8 http://www.bandc.biz/alternator8ampshomebuilt.aspx

I know it only puts out 8 amps but might be enough to keep the bat charged and run the com.

I am installing minimal electric and considering no alt. at all. This might be a reasonable solution for me. Would like to have your thoughts on this. It may have been investigated already here but did not come up in a search.

Thanks.
