I recovered my Stearman in Ceconite/Dope so I'm not familiar with Stits or Polyurethanes.

I was looking at an airplane that was covered an painted as follows:

Fabric: Stits GS90X
Base Coat Paint: Poly-fiber
Top Coat paint: 2 Part Urethane

Since it's urethane it cannot be rejuvenated, but I was wondering if it can be refinished? I'm sure it could be repainted by scuffing up the topcoat and topcoating with more urethane :( but that isn't what I want to know.

Is it possible/practical to wet sand off the urethane and refinish in poly-fiber so that I have a poly-fiber as my final finish that can also eventually be rejuvenated?

Thanks,
Glenn
