Hey all,

I have an O-470 that is starting to weep oil through a couple of the valve cover gaskets. I have a full set of silicone replacements, and I'm all set to install them, but I just can't seem to get the old cork gaskets off. They seem to be stuck really well onto the jug.

Is there a solvent/trick/magical incantation to unsticking these? I thought about using a razor blade but that seems like I could damage the jug pretty easily. I never had this much difficulty when I did this update on the O-360.

Cheers,

jpr
