For some reason I’ve always liked the small biplanes. BGL’s, Smith, little toots etc. I knew of one about 20 yrs ago that I wanted but I couldn’t afford it at the time. I went and saw it anyway and it was just a cool little biplane. 20 yrs went by and I received a call out of the blue saying the same one was for sale again but this time extremely cheap. I said yes over the phone, went to the bank, picked up a trailer and headed out to pick up my new plane, which was local. When I got to the small grass strip, I wasn’t pleasantly surprised. This thread will show my journey to making a sad little plane into a flying machine again. I did swear a few times, because she fought back a little, but the smiles outweighed the sorry.
