Hey guys, I have read the other threads about the steps to follow for rigging and I was told Budd Davission's rigging boards were used to hang and set up the wings on my S1 following the rebuild. Following the first test flight after rebuild, 2 x washers were added to the right rear lower I-strut due to a slight right roll. I was not present. My questions is...shouldn't the correct action have been to first remove any washers from the left wing first? The left lower rear I-strut has three or four washers.
During my first flight today I also noticed the slight right roll tendency. Between flights, I double checked the ailerons and all but right top wings were trailing. Right top was deflected slightly up. I adjusted the slave strut length and flew again but no real change.
Next weekend my plan is to remove the spades, remove all washers and start over. Confirm ailerons are in trail, check yaw (rudder trim tab new and not set), confirm horizontal stab angle of incidence.
Any thoughts?
