Hi,
I am replacing a Marvel MA-4-SPA carb with a Rotec TBI-40-4.
For part of my retrofit I will need to fabricate a 0.81 thick spacer which will mount between the airbox and the TBI. This serves to take up the height difference between the TBI and the MA-4-SPA.
Would be beneficial to the installation of I were to incorporate some stainless steel vanes into the spacer to reduce turbulence that might be in the airflow? One possible downside is that the presence of vanes might slightly reduce the effective airflow cross section.
Any thoughts, guidelines, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Glenn
