Running nav light and strobe wires

I’m getting ready to install nav lights and strobes on my Hatz. The original builder ran wires out to the wingtips of the upper wing, but never actually installed the lights and left the excess wire coiled up inside the wing at the inner end of the rear spar. Actually he ran the nav light wires, but I have to add the strobe cables. Anyway, I need to run the wires down the rear cabane strut to get into the cockpit, and trying to figure out the best way to do it. I have the typical four corners fuel pickups, with the rear lines also running down in front of the struts. I could add additional clamps and run the wires inside a new ½” OD tube clamped behind the strut, or alongside the fuel line, or I could just use some spiral sleeving or such and attach it directly to the fuel lines… is that a bad idea? Bub Nuckolls of Aeroelectric Connection doesn’t seem to think so, but I always thought that was frowned on.

I guess the 1/4" strobe cable could run by itself, but the 18GA wires should be inside something.
