I'm looking for some information about stretched Pitt's S-1 fuselages. I am familiar with the original Pitt's fuselage length (121")and the subsequent 3" stretch. I have come across an older 1970's S-1 fuselage that has about a 12" total stretch (3" in the cockpit, and 9" aft of the seat). I understand that several builders did this back in the 70's (Sport Aviation August 1974 documents stretch of N7PS and mentions several others), and I'm wondering what motivated the change? Additionally information about any adverse effects would be appreciated.
