So I'm helping a friend who's restoring an S-2A and we've come to a cross roads so I'd like some help from you good people...

It's a 1972 model so it's short gear and frieze ailerons, is it worth installing long gear on it? We have the short gear so maybe we should stick to it.

What covering and paint system should we use? I like Bret's S-1 finish in the Stewarts system, what does Aviat use these days?

What is a good smoke system to put in it, I guess it will need an STC seeing as though its certified.

I think it should get a fuel totalizer, any recommendations?

Is there any way of increasing fuel capacity in it?

Anything else we should do while its in pieces?
