S-2B Oil Suction Screen

Need to remove the oil suction screen for cleaning and inspection. Things are very tight in this area of the S-2B. A 45 degree flare elbow comes out of the back of the sump to a flex hose that goes to the inverted oil valve. Will some of you veterans suggest a strategy, special tools or whatever to remove and reinstall the screen. Needs to be done at each oil change so I know there must be a better way. All attempts so far have resulted in lots of frustration and some swearing, but I don't have it out yet, and I don't want to break anything.
