I have Steens picture CD and this is what they call the "bowtie" looking plate that mounts transversely between the longerons. It looks to have a bolt hole in the center that bolts through it and the aluminum spring gear to help with flexing and keeping the gear centered. Whew!o_O

My question is what is the plates thickness, and if it is in the plans could someone post a picture of it with dimensions. It would be much appreciated. I need to adapt and make something similar for my planes spring gear.

Also what is the thickness of the Pitts spring gear (Like from Grove or others)? I'm thinking 3/4", 2024 0r 7075

Thanks
