Hi,

I have a S1-S, fitted with a solid-crank 180 bhp 360-A4A. the aircraft is fitted with a Sensenich 76EM8-0-56.

I believe that the propeller was re-pitched to 58" back in 2003, and was later re-pitched again to 61".

The engine easily over speeds, even in a shallow dive. She climbs very well, around 2300-2400 fpm, and cruises at 2500rpm/135mph indicated.

Is it possible for a re-pitched prop' to slowly 'unwind' and return toward it's original manufactured pitch? I am thinking of having it re-pitched again to around 61-62".

I m happy to sacrifice a little climb performance, in order to pick up a little cruise speed. Any advice on a good pitch figure to use would be welcomed!!

Thanks in advance, Rich D.
