Ok Im trying to wrap my head around the old plans S1C hinge and the newer Steen S1C hinge.

Im running with original plans cause that's how this project came,( to include some but not all the hinge hardware). I'm incorporating some of the "updated" 1996 plans.

The new hinge is clearly nothing like the old.

Has anyone run into this problem?

Will I have to build new ailerons or fabricate the older style hinge assemblies. The new style will push the ailerons back almost an inch further
