Regarding the gross weights of the S2S and the S2B, any idea why the S2B has a greater Gross weight than the S2S? Are they basically the same airplane? How do the guys that modify Pitts determine the max weight? I noticed that the Raven has a gross weight of 1780Lbs compared to 1700Lbs for the S2B.Reason I am asking is that I have a S2S that is bit heavy and cant operate in the aerobatic category with more than 4 gallons of fuel onboard, not much use in a Pitts. Have already put the Pitts and myself on an extensive diet, and that’s the best we can do! Any Suggestions?
