Hey everyone, my name is Trevor Robinson. I’ve been reading through this forum for months and I thought it’s about time I introduce myself and my current project. I purchased 222AP back in December and have been going through the airplane getting it airworthy.
My great uncle built this airplane and first flew in 1998. It had an 0-360 and he put a total of 8 hours on it until he lost his medical. He then decided the 180hp was too much for the plane and swapped it out for an 0-320 (unfortunately for me). It received its updated airworthiness certificate in 2006 but never flew. It sat in his hangar ever since and that’s where I came in.
After pulling the wings we trailered it to Pearland Regional. So far I have gone through the aileron control systems and rerigged the wings. Currently I am going through the motor and reworking the fuel system to match the plans specs.
