It was a day of fear and trepidation, but new shock cords are now installed on my rebuild project! ( I had tell somebody)
First attempt was with a borrowed tool, never used, built with Starduster plans. Total failure… the tool spread, and the cord wedged in the tool.
So, I modified an old tool I had for my Cub. It worked. Used two 1286HD rings per side.
Tomorrow- try and hang an engine.
