    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Not much room in my SD cockpit and I have very wide feet (think daffy duck). I found some shoes on amazon that are VERY light, thin and flexible with a rounded heel and wide at the toe's. There called bare foot hiking shoes made by Whitin, I paid $37 for a pair (including shipping). They allow you to feel the rudder pedal's and the amount of pressure you are using, I removed the insole that comes with the shoes, so now there is less then 1/4" of very flexible rubber between my foot and the pedal. The shoe's are slip on's with strings that tie to add security.
