Hi all,

In rigging my SD2, I have noticed that my flying/landing wires are just a hair, maybe 1/4” on the long side. When I go to tighten them up for good, I’m guessing the wire threads will bottom out on the clevis pin. Additionally, some of my AN665 forks are only threaded to just past the witness hole, limiting how far I can thread the fork onto the wire.

There are, however, an abundance of threads. My first thought is to cut some of the threaded end off, as I have seen suggested in other parts of the forum.

That said, the wires costing what they do: has anyone undertaken cutting off excess threads, and if so what was the method?

Regards,
David
