Just got back from two weeks in Toulouse France. It's nice to be back to thinking about real flying.

I got the engine hung for the first time on the airframe. I built the engine mount for a zero/zero angle by welding the engine ring on the engine. I then welded the mount with the ring exactly vertical to the fuselage. What I forgot is the sag on the rubber engine mounts. On first measurement, the engine was hanging down 0.5 degrees. Two washers on the lower mount to fuselage location corrected this to 0.0 degrees.

Question 1 - Is it acceptable to have two AN970-7 washers like shown in this location (assuming AN bolts)?

Question 2 - What is the best way to eyeball how straight the engine is mounted longitudinal? I can't quite get a good eyeball on the engine spine to check how straight this might be.

Note to self - Build the next engine mount taking account the ~0.200" sag at the firewall mounts the engine mounts will take.

PS - Ordered my Catto prop yesterday. They are saying 3 month lead time.
