    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

A BIG thanks to Brad (TxSkyBolt)!

I am in San Antonio for a check up for the ribs and collar bone and Brad gave me a ride in his 'Bolt yesterday. WX wasn't perfect but we got up for a little while. He let me stumble around for a while and then shoot a few TO&Ls on their little grass strip. There were a couple of BE18s, a DC6 (!!!) and several other interesting airplanes on the field. As we were taxing in a PA12 took off for it's first flight in several years. My Dad and some of his friends started a flying club in the eary '50s and their first airplane was a PA12 so that was what my first airplane ride was in. He showed me his hanger mates Pitts and Bat Mobile. Cool stuff.

We were both short on time but boy do like little airports.....
