Skybolt shock absorbers (damper)

Hello everyone.
Would any of you have installed gas shock absorbers (damper) alongside the bungees to avoid bouncing on landing due to pilot incompetence (like me) ?
I'm currently restoring my father's plane to flying condition and if it's possible to make the modification, now's the time :)
