The skybolt I'm finishing restoring my skybolt and it had streamlined wires on top and tie rods on the bottom. I've lightly read here in the forum about tail flutter problems, and my Skybolt has a Continental IO-520D23M 6 cyl. engine. Should I be using tie rods on top and bottom? I was going to order a tail brace kit from Steen Aero, but the tail on my plane used to be a Starduster type, but was turned back into a Skybolt type and enlarged, so the tailbrace wires are to short. So, Steen's tailbrace kit probably won't be long enough. Will have to measure to make sure I have the right lengths. What page in the plans tells the what the original length's were for the tail brace wires? I lightly glanced through them, but didn't see in my older plans.
