Hey guys,
I have really been working on my Skybolt cleaning it up and doing maintenance needed since I bought it in December. I have it looking really nice, it just needed some TLC. The only ugly thing on the plane is the tail wires. My plane has round wires and they are just getting some surface rust. I was just going to replace the wires, bolts and brackets with new stuff. I looked on Steens website and they want $1600 for the tail wire set. I think that is the stainless streamlined deal. What options do I have that is cheaper? Sand and repaint mine silver? Anyone sell any cheaper? I am new at all this. How hard is it to re-rig that tail ifI remove all the wires and do something different?
Thanks, Shawn
