I am looking at how to best install a pre fabricated smoke tank (smoking airplanes.com). The location is decided. The main tubing is square 0.035 wall. This tubing still seems rather hefty, so I am wanting to drill some lightening holes (vertically). With vertical holes, the tube is still plenty strong one way, but I am unsure about side loads. I believe smoke oil is about 8 pounds/gal, it would be a 3.5 gal tank.

Thoughts?
