Are there any special considerations for trailering a pitts S2B in a covered trailer long term. This is an environment that has pretty cold winter conditions and mild summers so im wondering if any special considerations need to be taken with regard to corrosion (internal engine components, metal airframe parts, etc). May need to trailer for 3-4 years.
I am wondering if I might be better off building a plane but I dont yet have the proper space to take on such a project and I suspect it would take MUCH longer than 3-4 years to build an experimental pitts from scratch (including building my own wings, wood work, fabric work etc), jigs for the canopy plexiglass melt, and so on. And I have heard getting the repairmans cert from the FAA is still not an easy process.
So this is kinda where im at.
