I'm going to possibly pull the trigger on this Starduster II that I found, but I'm going to have to bring it home in the back of a U haul, or something similar because it's been sitting for a few years. The wings and horizontal stab are going to have to come off, but engine and prop will stay on. It will come with a second engine. How small of a U haul truck can I get away with to drive it home? How easy is it to pull the horizontal stabs off? I was told that the rudder, then the vertical stab will come off, then the horizontal stab, then the vertical stab and rudder will go back on, but will not be cotter pinned. Is anyone able to send me plans or drawings for the mechanic to be able to pull them off? Thanks from a hopeful future Starduster II owner.
