    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Thought I'd start a new thread as a follow up to all the discussion about Skybolt/Stardusters with 540's. I got it all together this morning and pushed up on the scales. EW came in at #1339. Tail wheel came in at #83. I ran max and minimum loadings and was comfortably in the envelope. What a huge relief in this step of the journey. A bit more fairing work with a few cosmetics and it will be ready to leave the shop.
