    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I'm to the point on the first wing that I needed to layout the new ailerons and start working out the finer points for hardware locations and other details. I pulled out the ribs and spar for the bottom right aileron and got it all clamped up to the wing to see how things work out.

These are the three-hinge ailerons with the airfoils to match up to my Sparcraft wings. There are quite a few parts unfinished and not installed yet in this picture. Nothing is glued, drilled or cut for the ailerons yet. Just trying to see how things work.

There are a few more pictures here.
