So I've tried to start the engine 3 times now. First time was a bad battery from the factory (pretty sure since it never charged over 11.4 vdc), 2nd run I found the ACS ignition harness was manufactured incorrectly, this time I'm thinking I have a bad starter. I have a Skytec 149-12LS and a PC680 battery. With top plugs out, it turns over pretty well. With plugs in, it struggles to get past the compression stroke. I even ran a wire from the starter ground post to the negative battery post. The starter is an old stock starter a friend had laying around. I bypassed the solenoid and start switch and jumpered the starter directly to the battery same thing happened. Pretty much solidified my bad starter theory, but I figured I'd ask the experts for their $0.02.
