Today was a good day. Flew from CT to a private strip on eastern Long Island (NY) for breakfast. A bunch of biplanes showed up... three Stearmans, a new Waco, a Travelair, a Bird, my Hatz, plus an assortment of Cubs and stuff. One Aeronca came in hot and fast and nearly ran off the 1900' runway, and I'm told the 172 that landed just before me made three attempts before getting down.
