It looks like we may be selling our never used aerobatic tank purchased from Steen. There is a slight conflict with the aft sway wires on the D model. The aft sway wires would push the fuel tank back farther than we would like.
My wife is half way through welding up a fuel tank for our other project for experience. After that she will tackle our wing tank which has been sitting ready to go for over a year. I wanted her to get the experience on the thicker (.050) Bearhawk wing tank which is easy to remove if there is a problem. Not so with a Skybolt wing tank.
She is doing the aluminum welding because she is a more capable welder when it comes to thin stuff or other difficult welding tasks. I get by but it never looks as good.
We will use our present main tank for dimensions and troubleshooting problems while we build a new one slightly modified. After that, I will put it up for sale in the appropriate section.
