I am looking for a new tach for my Lyc 540. I prefer electronic (connect to ignition switch). I liked the mechanical dial of my UMA (~$300), but it failed with less than 100 hr. I have heard decent comments about Horizon ($600). Does anybody have any experience with Flight Data Systems ($150)? Or any other good brands?
