I didn't like the elongating holes where the tail wheel chain clips attach to the rudder. See photo. My current plan is to weld the hole closed, add a doubler the same shape to the bottom and drill the new hole large enough to accept the threaded carabiner style link.
Any thoughts?
Does anyone use a sacrificial insert or another method to make the attachment?![ImageUploadedByBiplane Forum1400767423.044721.jpg ImageUploadedByBiplane Forum1400767423.044721.jpg](https://cdn.imagearchive.com/biplaneforum/data/attachments/7/7156-2aaabce98d3d48b19fa215282afb6c77.jpg)
