Had a few beers thinking about the crews that came here during the Battle of Britain, particularly from Duxford, to drink away the work they had to do, and the one's that didn't return. Duxford became a P-47 base later in the war. I'm sure those guys spent some time here as well.
Cheers to the flyers...
They would write they're commands attached to and their names into the ceiling with lighters and candles.
This pub dates back to the 16th century, and is the place where the "Secret of Life" was announced in 1953...DNA.
Cool place to have a beer.
Also stopped by the Bomber Command Memorial on the way back from London today.
