Is there anything out there that you can use as a sealer that lasts more than a few minutes before getting THICK ??? (other than regular varnish)
Would Clear Coat be the answer ?
I wanted to coat the inside of the turtledeck I'm making... had a set of L-26 bottles (now called Silver Tip Epoxy). They're getting old but I was only going to be use them for sealing so I mixed up about 3 oz of each (a total of 6 oz). Everything is going along fine, it's about the consistency of a thick varnish, until about 10 minutes into it. The brush isn't working as well as it was... I pick up the container and it's getting a little hot. I stirred it a little and it is getting pretty thick.
DAMN !!! so I start working faster with it... and the stuff is just starting to look like thick glue. I ended up with some spots being covered and other areas not cover much at all. I'll be going back and sanding all that excess crap off of it.
Looks like I'll be mixing this stuff in VERY small batches and going through a lot of brushes.
